So if you follow Super Rare Games on Twitter, or more specifically, their Head PR Ryan Brown (@toadsanime), you’ll have noticed recently that something was afoot. Ryan has been super excited about an upcoming announcement for a little while now, and it piqued many peoples’ interest, including my own… And finally, it has been revealed!
Introducing Super Rare Originals, a new indie-first publishing label for consoles + PC 💙
A whole host of incredible games have already signed for their indie-first consoles + PC digital label, and the first five have been announced today!

POST VOID is a challenging arcade style first-person shooter with one objective: be fast. Move forward and keep your idol filled with liquid by getting kills. Completely Stretchy is a short, first-person surreal and cartoony experience. Explore the vibrant Grombi Isles using your new found floppy abilities such as your stretchy arm, sticky fingers, and more! Talk to the eccentric inhabitants and participate in their playful activities. You may even piece together the story of The Grombi Isles.

With this exciting new venture revealed, I can’t wait to see what else Super Rare Games have up their sleeve, as they’ve made it clear that there are other titles yet to be unveiled.
Super Rare’s passion for indies is evident through the work they’ve been doing in the gaming scene since they first began, ranging from preservation of physical media not only through standard releases but in varied Special Edition variants, right through to the recent Mixtape release which was a unique way to support indie developers - and I am always excited to see what they reveal next!
